It also holds a lot of frozen food items compared to other models. Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a French-door refrigerator at this price. It has a decent-sized refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen. You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to create a customized storage layout for what you want to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is also attractive. The LED lighting is a nice feature. The storage bins in the door include a third shelf that can be folded down to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls so you can set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and close, but I found the textured plastic coatings to be a bit rough on my fingers. The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes the full suite of features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range, including Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also comes with numerous options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when the door is unlocked, when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change. It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS had Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to pour out at once. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water is left, but it's not as effective as Precise Fill. Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to look like it's a seamless part of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer, and two compressors to preserve food items. The Ice maker is among the best we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice that is low in water usage. This refrigerator is ideal for a single family or a kitchenette with a built-in appearance and top-of-the highest quality food preservation. This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for a few reasons. The freezer temperature remained steady at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a tiny fraction – this is crucial to prevent freezing burn. The refrigerator section of the refrigerator also did well. It reached the temperature it was set within an hour and remained at the temperature throughout our tests. Bosch is a household name for its top-quality appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. The app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is expensive, however it has top-quality features and functions for the cost. While the fridge is an amazing piece of equipment, it's important to know the limitations. You might need to be creative with tall items because the fridge has a limited shelf space. Additionally, the shelves are not sprillproof and can be easily damaged or stained by sharp objects. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Inside, the refrigerator has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized bins for the doors on each door and two rows of spill-capture shelves, and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser. This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it easy to move the frozen ice whenever you need it. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, such as sliding drawers that help you sort your things. french door fridge freezer has a large bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food items as well as an storage bin for ice. Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and more of your fridge from your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and manage it, especially when you're not at home. However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. This fridge took longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we tested. This is likely due to its greater capacity. The other issue we have with the door of this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front that allow shorter people to easily open them from the bottom, but they're not easy for taller people to guide closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they came with a front-mounted handle. The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to blend the aesthetics of a French-door refrigerator with more efficient design. It has a capacity that is above average for counter-depth models, and it cools evenly. It's also a bit less than the top counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice. Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune and isn't expensive, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a minimalist design that isn't as striking visually as other models however it comes with enough features that make it a great pick. Its most significant feature, the temperature adjustable drawer, helps to keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also has a large ice maker and a water dispenser. Another great feature is the “Chill Drawer” that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you divert a portion of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can put away food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider located outside the drawer. It is also possible to use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge however, I've found that changing the generic settings tends to have a better effect than specific ones. In my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different parts of the refrigerator. Temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary significantly from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a pretty good performance, but it doesn't quite make it into the top ten in our ratings. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also combine this fridge with an intelligent thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's temperature. The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a “smudge proof” finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
